These companies define an ideal supply chain in construction materials where virgin raw materials are integrated and partially replaced with waste products that, despite their different origins, share the ability to form a high-performance mixture. In this sense, the horizontal contamination between supply chains is a winning element and constitutes a unique aspect of the Project, contributing to the development of a “Green Economy” at the regional level, aimed at defining more sustainable production cycles and products. This partnership is based on the principles of the circular economy and zero climate impact, promoted by the Green Deal and the regional S3 strategy.
The companies interested in enhancing their waste (Bacchi, interested in recycling Gasbeton; Gigacer, which has by-products from ceramic production; Sabbie di Parma, which manages the decommissioning of synthetic sports facilities at the end of their life, aiming to improve recycling; Siram, whose plants produce biochar as solid waste, currently disposed of in landfills at significant costs; Soc. Agr. Montagnini, which has bovine manure) will provide their waste/by-products to the various Centers and interact with them, as specified in the respective agreement letters, providing the information in their possession to define the reuse method and the most advantageous application, based on the waste’s composition, its availability in the regional territory, and technological and economic considerations, including the need for treatments.
The companies already operating in the sectors of producing materials and components for construction and requiring access to innovative, high-performance materials with reduced environmental impact, capable of meeting the requirements set by the Minimum Environmental Criteria for Construction (Bacchi, Betonrossi, Pizzarotti), will interact with the Centers, making their technical and industrial expertise available to define the mix-design and optimal applications and to carry out experimental tests on the developed materials.
All companies will be involved in verifying the industrial implementation of the most promising results, from the transformation of waste into secondary raw materials, to the production and qualification of new construction materials and components, for their complete evaluation on a technological, operational, and environmental level, considering the entire life cycle.

In the “CASA” Project, Siram Veolia will provide waste material from the lignocellulosic biomass gasification process for its valorization. Siram Veolia is highly interested in implementing new solutions in the circular economy field.
